Overview: This course will provide insight into spatial techniques for Public Health and Safety. It will equip participants to use GIS tools and datasets for day-to-day Public Health and Safety operations.
The course seeks to enable learning about the:
I. Concepts and theories of GIS in the context of public health.
II. Cross-disciplinary problem solving techniques in Public Health and Safety;
III. Use of location intelligence and Geographic Information Systems technology to understand relationships, patterns and trend in Public health and safety.
IV. Collaborations, Innovations, communication and knowledge-sharing in Public Health and Safety.
By the end of the course participants should be able to:
